Our story starts in 1884 when Bartolo Peverada arrived in Boston, Massachusetts from Milan, Italy to expand his merchant business. After the death of his wife in 1921, he returned to Italy leaving the business to his sons in New England. He opened a restaurant & grocery procurement enterprise, and continued to correspond with his sons, sending them Italian supplies and goods from B. Peverada - Ristorante dell’Ancora.

Six generations of Peverada merchants & craftsmen have passed down centuries-old traditions of quality leatherwork. Avid sailors and coastal workers, their love for the sea has left its mark on the style of traditional equipment we continue to offer. We stay true to this heritage by designing and constructing each product in Boston, Massachusetts.
